toadman and gw skeleton

i know the photo is a little over the top for a mediocre mini, but practice makes perfect, and it is two minis. one of my faster paint jobs (another "side project" - hte skele took about 1.5hrs) but it was really fun to do. the only two things of note here are the copper metallics, which i achieved by underpainting with orange, then washing copper over it, hilight with mythril silver and copper (reaper) mix, brazen brass wash (twords hilt), tin bits wash (twords hilt), black wash (twords hilt). to oxidise i layed down a thin layer of white and then put a wash of turquoise over the top. the osl on the eyes was fast, easy and fun - good practice for the group of skellies im doing similarly. questions? enjoy

The eyes on the skeleton are great, as is the rusty blade.

Good to see some more of your stuff Funny. I like the look of both of them. Sometimes a faster approach looks better on some minis and I think it suits these two well. Some things I think need work are the base and the glowing eyes. I am the type of painter who doesnt like any of the original black base to show. Thats just me though. The glowing eyes look really good but I think you have to much light reflecting off the sword. The metallics are really good on the other hand. The toads sword looks especially good. Keep it up buddy.
