Ork Boar Boy
This is the first mini I ever did for a competition. It was done for a local Rogue Demon competition. I didn't win the category. Any ways, somethings about the mini. I had trouble keeping the arm holding the spear on, so I pinned it, however I drilled through the shoulder on accident and decided to make the pin look like a broken spear/arrow shaft. All depends on the individual perspective. I also pinned the shield onto the arm and filed down the end of it to look like a spike. I cut the skull off of one of my undead models, drilled a hole through the eye socket and stuck it on for a trophy. I realize I could have spent more time on the shield, I was going for a primitive symbol look. On the left rear flank of the boar there is a brand that matched the symbol on the shield. I tried to pick up the detail of the face, I gave this boy a nice gold tooth. THe base is basic flock with small stones and some static grass. This is also the first mini that I ever posted to this site, I would appreciate any creative criticism from the members because I am thinking of posting this mini on ebay but would like to get it just right. As to the "blood" on the shield. I tried to think about what a shield would look like if it were decorated by an orc. It is actually supposed to be a clan symbol, I could have spent more time on the shield. Will repost after some touch up.
