Gandalf Resin Prototype

This is the best LOTR figure that I did for the GW Trading Figure game. Unfortunately when they were mass produced and pre-painted, all the time that you spend sculpting a face is layered under a 1/2 mm thick blob of flesh coloured paint! This particular piece is actually the pre-production version and was actually produced with its arms in a different position. I prefer it this way. I think I captured Ian McKellan's likeness quite well. I am proud of this figure. Just don't ask to see my Eowyn figure. Oh dear. Cheers Dan

i dont like the body..it is to thin and comparing it with the face maybe is not correct.. but the face is the real Sir Ian Mackellen...incredible..

I agree. A marvellous rendition of Ian McKellan's face. An incredible achievment in this scale. Most sculptors wouldn't have managed it in 54mm let alone this scale! It's a shame its not available for painting. Perhaps GW could be lobbied for a special edition.
