Trying for a metallic, silvery blue without resorting to inks over metal paints. Here is what I have come up with so far. Base, tabard, and various small details are still in need of work before the model is finished. Comments/tips/ideas are always welcome.

I think your right a more muted Gold will suit your mini far better than the "cartoon" colours that GW say is the "correct" Legion colour scheme. A whole army painted like this would be very very impressive. Well done so far. Davie

I intend to depart slightly from the 'official' colour scheme slightly. I prefer the looks of the banding to be a faded gold colour as it contrasts nicely with the silver/blue. I have to go back and do a final coat on it to cut down a bit on the silver showing through on the banding. I am not a fan of the matt blue/yellow colours at all as they look a bit too 'cartoony' to me.

This is looking very good so far. What colour are you going to use for the yellow banding on the crest and shoulder pad or are you going to depart from that "GW" colour scheme?. Looking forward to seeing this completed now. Davie Tait
