Tyrion

Finally finished... I am free to do something more interesting.. (actually a Sisters of Battle Combat Patrol-a present for my girlfriend- started after finishing this model is 80% done at the moment of writing-just shows how fast I can paint when I paint what I like;)) I just cannot tell how dissapointed I was with this model. Malhandir is just a skinny horsie with strange head, good that most of the body is hidden under caparison. Tyrion himself is very detailed but somehow uninspired... it took me 3 months to finish the model not because I was painting so much but because I had to force myself to do this;) Such lack of heart for painting him shows, especially on his yellowish armour -the cartoony effect is ok, but the transitions of colours are awful... Thanks to Milosz "Milo" Brendel from Perfectus Art Studio for photos.

The model might not be great but the painting is. I think you have done an awesome job on painting this, especially if you had to force yourself to do it. You;re too modest. I could never hope to paint to that standard. Well done. 9/10 as far as I'm concerned.

I know what you`re talking about - I`ve been painting this model some time ago and I was exteremely dissapointed. It was a pain to paint (altough it has some potential). As usuaual I love your freehands but for me there`s something wrong with colour choice and colour intensity (too rich colours). It`s simply not mine pair of shoes (I prefer much more natural, toned down colours). I hope my personal preferences haven`t affected the score too much. ALso I think you definitely feel where to highlight the model but your unsmooth approch to blending haven`t IMO worked for this model. It looks better on some of your other minis (chaos fe). Still good work - keep it up man :)!
