lizardmen saurus old one with cold one. collage.

this project seemed to take a lifetime. i started on x-mas 05. i toyed around with making diorama bases for the second time, and met with some sucess. i think this mini took so long because of its complexity -he had bits everywhere that needed attention. hes bright, but thats how i saw him. i did some backgound research on tropical birds and aztec art. as far as painting goes its funny - i have improved so much as a painter during the time when i was painting it that there are noticeable inconsistancies. i like this guy because of the little bits. the snail, the chameleon. the skulls , the flowers, the gold danley things. i tried to pick out a few of my favorite spots for you. enjoy, and please comment.

Amazing...I always thought I wouldn't like this miniature but with your paint job it's one of my favorite. Where did you get those plants?

This diorama is wonderful! I love your attention for details on the base and the water looks amazing. The only downside is the photo, i don´t think it makes the mini justice. It lacks in contrast and detail. I´m pretty sure that this would have been a 10 with a better photo. But yet a great pice of work! Keep up the good work!
