Reaper; Prince Danithal

Still looking for advice on how to paint more realistic blond hair. But any advice is appreciated.

the paint is in all the right places. 1) mould lines are ugly and can hurt your score, big. file or carve them off before you paint. 2) darken the rim around the eyes (technique:darklining) to make them look more convincing. 3) give it a legit base. some flock and rocks is all it takes to set the mood of a mini, and can often make or break a piece.

For realistic blond hair I would recommend not using actual yellow. Reaper makes a nice Master Series triad that is great for blond hair, the Warm Light Browns triad. If you don't use Reaper paints then add just a tiny touch of brown to your yellow to tone it down. Shading and highlighting will also help make the hair look more realistic. :)

Here is a slightly larger and clearer image. (Hope this doesn't double post.) http://home.earthlink.net/~tomahawk46n/Minis/Reaper/prince_danithal.jpg
