Its because the whole helmet is lit while the burn on the helmet foesnt look like lit. i cant give this a lower than 8 - simply because i cant do better than you...
Love the battle damage - excellent.
But what's is the green...? I'm guessing it's meant to be OSL...? I doesn't look right somehow - I think it's the helmet.
