This is a Witch Hunter Inquisitor Retinue I painted for the Emperor's Chosen 2005. That's the fancy name for the staff Golden Demon, in Australia. To my surprise they won the Squad category. Some of my first attempts at free hand were painted on these miniatures. The tiles on the bases are made out of cardboard, and the stairs are from a plaster mold. I was going for a really coherent colour scheme on all the miniatures, with all of them painted in exactly the same way. Comments and Criticisms appreciated. Take it easy... -B-

hey kyle, these ones look good - the colours seem to be a little stronger in real life though from memory. There are some great details - I love the scrolls, they look excellent with the extra effort put in - the pics, symbols etc! Some good shading too, especially the red colours, they are nicely done. I like the bases - simple but evocative! Well done on winning the staff category!
