I agree with XeO3. I have a tau army I've been working up, and like the desert theme you're going for, but I'd paint his eyepiece the same red you use in other areas so his helmet will have some visual interest. The lighter beige you've gone with just seems to look washed out. Nice job, though.
This is well-painted, and the highlights and shading are pretty good, but there doesnt seem to be anough contrast between the colors. The red bits stand out a little, but you might want to try to add a little more shading between the tan and grey parts.
The base is really cool, although I might suggest adding a little grass flock to brighten it up a little and add some color.
Overall, a great job, but a little too much neutral color.
