Celestine the Living Saint
Wanted to avoid doing the golden armour thing and so did a very simple red and white scheme imagining the saint to be more humble. Painted over a white undercoat I put a wash of black over the armour first to darken the recesses before applying the base coat. Has anyone else tried doing this I've found it really helps when you want other areas to stand out but require good deep shadows.
