40K CHAOS SPACE MARINE DAEMON PRINCE (Night Lords)

(Take 2, with proper photo this time!) Another quick one, i.e. very nice, but not my highest standard. Please forgive the slight graininess of the picture. A specially converted metal Chaos Space Marine Daemon Prince miniature for Warhammer 40,000 by Games Workshop. This model can be used to represent the Chaos Gifts of Daemonic Flight, Daemonic Viseage and Daemonic Armour, amongst others. This suitably fearsome individual would be ideal for a Night Lords army, but can be used for any Chaos Space Marine army... or just for display!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it! Yeah, he was painted very quickly (about 5 hours) and the armour does come out a little rough under the harsh glare of the lights and camera CCD... but rest assured, he looks awesome -and fearsome - in person! The wings were just some old ones I found in my bits box and aren't as detailed as I would have preferred, but I like the particular way they are outstretched rather than kinked or coiled up like a lot I've seen. And yes, I was going for a Dark Blade for the sword! :D Very appropriate for Night Lords. I did try highlighting it, but I wasn't very happy with how it looked. I felt it didn't better convey the idea of a void than the straight black. Cheers! :P

Nice conversion! The wings are my only problem. Ther are sooo many cool bat wings out there...these lack some detail or something, are they greenstuffed, perhaps? Nice paint. although the armour looks a tad drybrushed (not that I don't like drybrushing) and the sword could be something other than flat black. As refreshing as a break from the typical glowing sword with comic-book esq colors on it...just black leaves me wanting. from the face and the marine helmet I can tell you can paint, so show me something on that blade! Overall great work. I can tell a lot of thought went into the conversion (showing all of the deamonic gifts appropriately). AHAAA! maybe the sword is the "Darkblade" that's why its BLACK!!! man I'm silly.... cool fig, Dunesea
