Custom Keratis warrior

You can see on this pic the original Keratis warrior (on the white part), painted by the Rackham team. After removing the "insects" parts, I've cut the right arm to modify his position, and filled the holes with green stuff. I put green stuff on the sides of the elmet as well, to hide other insects attributes, and added the hair... Then I glued two Fenryll cranes together, and glued them on the mini with a real chain... I glued another piece of chain at the bottom of the cranes to give the impression of movement. I did not want to paint it in NMM style, since everybody's doint it this way this days, specialy when it comes to Rackham minies...And I'm kinda bored with it : ) So I decided to paint the armor with metallic paint, and the body in dark tones, the opposite of the original color scheme. I kept the same color for the dress, and added a simple pattern on the back of it.. Let me know what you think of it : )

Do Kier
Technicaly the mini very good and accuratly painted - 8. But I am not a fan of red/purple combination (one of those, that will never work together) - 6. And so - 7 :)

(7-7.5) I like the conversion, and the freehand is really well done, subtle but noticeable. The skin seems kind of flat, it could use some more highlighting, also the base is very plain. the steel metallic bits and the skulls could use some higher contrast as well.

This is nice - good convo work. The design on the robes is a great touch too. The pics aren't doing you any favours here though. The tight cropping and busy multi-views don't focus the attention and draw you away from the paintjob. Good stuff, keep it coming!
