Gaming board

I wanted to make a simple 4' x 4' table. The table consists out of two components; the table/frame and the gaming board. It's possible to remove the gaming board; this allows you to flip it over or to replace it without having to rebuild the whole table. There are limitations to this approach in that you can't expand the table because of the frame. For the gaming board I used 4 boxes of GW moddeling flock, pretty expensive but well worth it. First I used a paint roller to spread wattered down wood glue on the gaming board, then emptying all 4 boxes of flock in a line on one side and slowly while tapping on the board letting the flock go from one side to the other. To make sure the flock wouldn't fall off I sprayed it a couple of times with wood glue by using your avarage plant sprayer (make sure you water down the glue). The result, a nice green grass field which still allows you to slide your armies over it.

Yeah well, there are two kinds of people in the world; those that settle with a GW tabletop mat and those that don't.

Would it not hav been simpler to have bought a GW tabletop mat and stuck it down? I did this and it turned out great!

Very stylish! But I don't think many armies fight it out on golf courses though ;)
