Aragorn in Moria

I wish I could take photos to do this model justice. I've always considered myself an above-average painter, but this has been my masterpiece in my painting so far. The paint just seemed to flow naturally off the brush to do what I wanted, when I wanted. This was my first attempt at both object source lighting and non-metallic metals. I'm happier with the former than the latter, but it didn't give a lot of room for NMM. I've taken some liberties with Viggo Mortensen's costume in the film because, frankly, head to toe "mud brown" is dull as hell to paint. But I think the "various shades of brown" approach has done this model justice. The model originally came with the Lord of the Rings magazine, as a "hand-painted" pewter model. I stripped it down to the metal and repainted it over two days.
