Hrungnir - Warhammer Frost Giant

I made this model for my Warhammer Hordes of Chaos army which was themed around norse mythology. I created a beard using green stuff, removed the club hand and replaced it with the axe from the bloodthirster, and also gave him a shield made from a large base. I am particularly happy with the shield as it took forever to paint the runes around the edge of it. I was also pretty annoyed when GW announced that they were releasing a new plastic giant soon after I finished this one..

It's worse when they finally put out the army you have been waiting for for like 5 years, then a couple months later announces a new version of the rules (Wood Elves). At least the new rules didn't make Giants obsolete, I have way too many minis that are no longer 'legal' due to rule changes.
