Ghoul of acheron

Hello, i started painting about a month ago. I' ve read alot articels and tried some techniques on some different miniatures. After some practise I painted my first completely finished miniature. I had some practise with my camera too and the photo is not good, sorry about that. I concentrated on the blending of the skin and robe and I know the metal parts really look ugly but i haven't figured out how to paint nice metal or NMM. Thanks for the nice articels on this site by the way. They helped me alot to get started. I would really appreciate some advice and comments about the finished miniature. Tried to get some better pictures now.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to use darker shadows and brighter highlights. And read some more tutorials :P

If this is your work after only a month, then I'm very impressed. I will be keeping my beady little eyes on you! If you want comments, you might wish to look again at which bits of the skirt should be highlighted and which are in shadow as stated by flashlight warrior. A very complicated mini for your first one. Well done.

For a first mini, it looks pretty good. For metallics, check out Jakob Rune Nielsen's site; he has a nice tutorial on how to paint with metallics. Also, there's a few messages on the forums that might help. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
