Okay here is a fun one I bet it will get hammered ...... I mainly trying out new background ideas for my new website and want to see what you guys think. Feel free to comment Looking more for comments on the background than mini but feel free to chime in on both.

@THEKAPPTIN - Thanks for the feedback this was one I did awhile back and I tried Highlighting also but it is orange on red and I didn't go far enough. I was more after the background comments and I will do some reworking of it. This was my first run at it. @IG88 - The mini is an n-scale plastic clicky toy :-) So I had a little more room to work on this guy. Thanks for the feedback guys anyone else want to chime in.. I have a thick skin :-)

You want comments on the background, or of the mini? I'd say the background is quite adequate. Lose the drop shadow on the credit maybe, and make the text on the title at the top a little thicker and easier to read. The mini is not bad. Nice weathering effects. It seems you've chosen to do weathering effects instead of highlighting, rather than in addition to it. This is not a problem as IMO it's effective for this type (this scale) of model, but it will probably get you lower marks on CMON. If you do want to amp the highlighting, just add some really strong edge highlights.

Hers the first nail as far as the hammering goes, a ten incher. Nice job, these models are very small and often plain to paint, you have done a great job making it look realistic.
