Fought with this guy for a long time and finally threw in the towel. There just isnt that much there to work with. I thought the OSL might carry the day but it only took things so far. Oh well......Not my worst, not my best. Time to move on. By the way, the crystals really do shine that bright. I drilled them out, painted the insides white and then when I hit it with the dull coat they REALLY lit up. Almost too much.

Blues are great, the green could use some work. Try thinning your paint a bit more next time.

i think the grey on the necron is too... boring... but the light effect is very good, and the base isnt bad either

(6.5) Hey man, don't be so harsh on yourself, this is not a bad paintjob. I personally feel that NMM was maybe a bad choice and in hindsight metallics would work better. I also think that just the one, green, OSL source would be better too, with maybe a different coloured head or shoulder carapace to break up the mini a bit. Chin up, as I said, this IS a decent mini.
