Gandalf at Dwarrowdelf

Hi y'all! This time I tried to depict the stark lighting effect seen in the movie when Gandalf, along with the Fellowship, are going through the Mines of Moria. The original figure had a hat, but it would have plunged the whole face in shadows. Conveniently Gandalf loses his hat in Balin's Tomb so I removed the hat and sculpted the missing forehead, skull and hair, which revealed the face. I used a "pre-shadowing" technique by first painting the whole fig in plain black, then, using an airbrush, I placed pure white highlights. This over-contrasted basecoat was subsequently "tainted" with numerous glazes. Final black ink glazes gave the shadow areas a nice depth. Hope you'll like it :)
