WIP Captain Stern NMM Back

My first NMM peice, please let me know what u think at this point rather than me finish the model and it get torn to peices!! I've only finished the shoulder pads and back panel, so have a look and let me know what u think!

Looks more like bone than NMM. Not enough yellow, to much brown.

It's not too bad for a first try. Something I might recommend is to start with a darker base, something akin to GW's scorched brown. Leave that particularly in the very deepest creases where the plates meet at 90 degree angles like on the top of the pauldrons. Work up the highlights a few steps, but use your pure white highlights very sparingly. Based on this picture your light source appears to be coming from the behind and left (the model's left) so the white highlights on the back piece look good, but they seem to be on the wrong side on the right pauldron. Some feedback cause you asked for it 8)
