The Black Dwarf- Iron Painter 3 round 1 entry

Heres my entry for round one of the Iron Painter 3 contest over at Wyrd, the name and inspiration came from reading GW's white dwarf magazine. In all my years in the hobby I have never, seen a dwarf with dark flesh so thought it would be appropriate for the theme 'Flesh of a different colour'. This is my 1st attempt at painting dark skin, started from scorched brown and worked up to bestial. The dreadlocks were made from rolling Green stuff sausages on sandpaper to give them texture. Hope you like him! as always, votes and comments are appreciated.

That wood looks excellent. I agree with supervike about the highlights. Nice job.

I will vote probably higher than the paintjob deserves but I really think it is a very original idea and a black dwarf looks very beautiful. I just can´t see why no one has done this before. Great idea!! Best wishes //ALEX

I think the flesh tones turned out well....A bit more highlighting of the face would make that pop better. The base is very nicely done as well.
