Angel's Ascension
The Angel’s Ascension Angels descend to the depths of wrong and pain and through the fire ascend again. My angel on the ground is a copy of the original model. She is rising from the dead in a flaming burst. I constructed the base with carving tools upon an oak candle holder; then taking a propane torch, I burned in the effects. I built the grotto with Celluclay and wire mesh and sculpted the fire on the base with greenstuff. Natural rocks in the background finish off the scenery. The slain hero is sooty and drained of color with the reflection of the fire that consumes, her flesh transforms to flame as the angel’s soul takes flight.
