Spider Queen (Drow) Drider

This is by far my best painted figure. Dave It is NOT 90% Gloss Black, all colors are self mixed. Plus I do not use straight black. The shiny look comes from the clear coat I use to protect the paint.

Yes, unfortunately the photo hurts it. I'm sure a better photo would show lots of detail that we can't see here. Plus, I have to wonder if the gloss finish hurts things as well. Obviously you must use some kind of protective coat, and you could even argue that the hard exoskeleton of a spider would be shiny anyways, but a matte gloss might do more justice to your paint. Cause I'm sure you worked wicked hard on it.

Unfortunately the rating is skewed towards the photograph. It looks 90% gloss black :(
