shadowcat... i'm the creator of this mini, but havent been able to get into my old account to reply to messages... the rivets on the head vanes are gem stones and therefore aren't symmetrical. the arms are in relation to the body, its just a trick of perspective, the avatar is leaning towards the camera and his legs are the same length too... i should post better pics now i have a better camera. the left hand isnt glowing because its meant to be constantly oozing blood as per the avater fluff i wanted a more sinister looking avatar for my army, he is supposed to represent a god or battle and the existing eldar avatar is a little wimpy looking. thank you for your critique

Well, you've posted it here so I hope you're not going to be offended by a little constructive criticism. First up, I like the piece a lot and respect you for trying such an extensive and difficult project. For details, however, and purely in the spirit of trying to help you achieve even greater things, here are some notes: The wings of the helmet are commendably at exactly the same angle and distance from the head. Well done, that must have been a bit difficult. There is no rivet on the right hand wing however. The helmet itself is nice, but unfortunately the left eye descends at a different angle and origin than the right eye (his right). The shoulder pads look to be different sizes and I suspect this is why the spikes are on the right shoulder. They also make me think of Dark Eldar, but that's a thematic concern rather than a technical note. I think his arms are too long and I suspect the right one is longer than the left. I'm also curious as to why his left hand isn't glowing with heat (nice effect by the way)? The legs seem short in relation to his body and I think the whole figure would probably have benefited from a rigid adherence to the laws of humanoid scale, rather than the slapdash oversized heads, feet and hands that many miniature designers utilise. The axe handle is nice, as is the sculpting of the hands in gauntlets, but they seem rather more mediaeval English than post apocalypse Eldar. The axe head itself is probably the weakest point of this model, even given the nice construction with the hole in the middle. It looks from here as though the two ends of the axe are not parallel, and the colour choice is both monotonous and unrelated to the rest of the body. The overall impression of this mini is of a well padded knight wearing black leather armour, rather than an iron skinned warrior. I do, however, think you've done an excellent and ambitious notes and all of my notes here are nitpicking pedantry of the most meticulous degree in the hopes that your next model will be superb. I think you've done well and I hope you're proud of your work.

(6.5) Not an amazing sculpt or paint job but it's significantly better than my sculpting attempts. Keep it up! :)
