Iron Painter 3- Round 2, Theme: Paint it Black
Well heres my entry for round 2 of Iron Painter over at Wyrd, booger the Gobbo took this theme a little too literally when he heard what it was! I figured that Goblins wouldn't bother to thin their paints so I first applied PVA glue it 'IT' with a syringe then painted this black to give it a gloopy and thick paint texture. This was then painted with gloss varnish to give it a wet freshly painted feel. There are 4 levels of highlights on the night goblins cloak, but I stopped here as I did not want the cloth to look too grey and still appear black. I took the skin lighter than I usually would to help keep the robes dark, Starting from Catachan green working up to camo green and then working up to pure bleached bone. I am really pleased with the freehand woodgrain on the bucket and brush and will be using this effect in the future!
