This basilisk is a classic from the Grenadier boxed set "Denizens". I thought it would be fun to go with a desert theme and paint it to resemble a gila monster. Hope you like him, and comments always welcomed.

Great job! I really like the scale patterning, and the desert base looks great, really suits how you painted the mini. His expression is a lot of fun.

I bet you've had enough of painting scales for a lifetime! Anyway, nice paintjob, nothing really to say, perhaps neaten up the black base edge.

I love Gila Monsters! The mini itself I would rate a 7, but I'll give you an 8 for the fantastic base - the spines on the opuntia(?) are done particularly well, and you have the colours of the agave(?) and of the ground working very nicely together too. The sculpting is spot-on, and the result is just really cool :) I wouldn't mind spending a bit of time in Arizona to look for some of these guys :D
