This is one of my first minis. The base is still unfinished cause I wanted to hear your comments before what I could improve on the mini. I am quite a beginner on minipainting so I´d like to learn more by your comments!
i agree with the comment about comments...new painters should receive encouragement and advise here. In addition to the improvements on the blade and shading/highlighting of the cloak, try some dark highlights at the bottom of the cloak to simulate tatters and dirt. No need for freehand - the cloak looks simple and raggedy as sculpted and needs no more than a little 'wear and tear'. Bases are a world unto themselves and can make or break a well painted mini. Rocks, flocking, leaves -it's all good and fun!
First comment, this deserves at least a 5. I think its at least a 5 and it states it is un-finished.
Second: I can't believe you begged for comments and didn't get any.
Third: about the painting etc. Add some orange to that red and add some highlights to the cloak. The shadding looks good but not enough highlights. The Blade on the weapon looks really flat. At least highlight the very edges to near white for that extra sharp look.
Fourth: put some flock or something on the base it will do wonders for the mini and your score.
