Mid-Launch WhirlWind
This is one of my first mini's I spent a while painting and modeling. To make the launching missile, I used some thin wite, and glued on some cotton and the missile that comes with the whirlwind sprue. I then primed the missile, and the cotton. I only sculpted the fire with green stuff a few months later. The exhaust system is simply made from drinking straws and green stuff. The open hatch in front of the turret was easily made by cutting out the hatch, and using plasticard to make it smooth, and a handle from an imperial guard tank sprue. The dozer blade is also from an Imperial Guard tank sprue, and I drilled bullet holes trailing from the dozer blade, all the way up to the tank commander.
