Special edition Chaos sorcerer on sculpted base

This was a very tough mini for me, for a variety of reasons. There was a lot of pressure to do something special with it, since the miniature itself cost me $117.00! It is only available with a 2 year subscription to White Dwarf, so I bit the bullet and got the magazine :-) Those are very fun to look at! Anyway, creating a base took several days, repositioning the miniature dozens of times. Painting the actual mini itself left me baffled, until I came upon the idea of making him Tzeentch. I have been painting a lot of Tzeentch champions for commissions lately, and the light switch finally went on in my head! I used a variety of codexs for reference, including the Art of Warhammer 40K for symbols, runes, colors, etc. Lots of transitions between the colors of each robe, cloak, etc. was key to rendereing this. I love the colour scheme of this mini its beautifully done.I like the highlighting you have used and the mount has a suitable sick colour to its skin tone. But this mini is avaible by the Gamesworkshop online store only and its not as dear as what you paid for it :(

Truely awsome on the cloak. Over-all a great job. I agree that some freehand on the front of the model or a little more color contrast might help... but seriously, there is little room for improvement on this one. GREAT STUFF!
