Lictor (Limited Edition)
This is the special edition Lictor that came with the Tyranid mega force... I repositioned and green-stuff blended the legs so that the body is leaning forward a bit more; the arms were pinned up and back, and the scything talons were tilted back a bit; all of this hopefully gives the impression that the creature is stalking forward, crouching and about to pounce onto its next victim. Painted in Hive Fleet Leviathan colors, with some minor exceptions (exoskeleton is done in Bleached Bone / 1:1 Bone:White / Skull White detailing; Carapace is painted with 3 layers of striping-- Liche Purple / 2:1 Liche Purple:Fortress Grey / 1:1 of same). The base is painted in Snakebite Leather, covered in modeling sand which is overbrushed in Bleached Bone. The mossy growth is made from green modeling flock which has been washed of its green dye. Half of the washed flock was re-dyed in diluted Blazing Orange; the other half in a mix of diluted Reds and Red Ink. Once dry the two handfuls were mixed together and applied in patches on the base; intended as a nod to War of the Worlds' "Red Weed", the "Ripley Moss" from DreamCatcher, or the reddish lichens from David Gerrold's "Chtorr" books.
