Warhammer 40k Kharn the Betrayer on sculpted base
I have been waiting to get the opportunity to paint this figure for months! There was a brief gap in the commission stuff, so I jumped at the chance. I have done numerous fantasy figures with various forms of OSL, but only a tiny bit of my 40k figures have had the glowing reflections, etc. I tried to make the non-lava reflective surfaces as cool in hue as possible, to enhance the effect. That was much easier on the blacks than the gold/brass. I really had to cool down the mixture there so that the orange glow would not simply appear to be part of the normal gold mixtures!
