Platinum Knight -1st Mini I ever painted

Mini for tabletop use in a DnD setting. She's standing on the edge of a dragon's horde (hence the gold pieces and jewels) I REALLY need to work on taking pictures of minis...... The flash made her look all glossy and washed out alot of detail in the color. She's actually quite matte and there's alot more tone to the cape and armor and hair than you can see :S

For your first ever mini i am very impressed. I also have trouble taking pics of mini's but i can see that you have done some nice clean highlighting on the cloak. I expect you will find you will improve very quickly as with just a few small techniques your painting will improve alot

Photos make most of the score on CMON. Read the articles section to see how to improve the pictures. There is a great article on photoshop which is also posted in the articles section. You can get and use gimp for free, just ask in the forums and someone will help. Post a little note in the submissions section of the forum and you will get a lot more comments and advice. Also, the more comments you leave, the more you will generally get back. Try one, and generally only one, thing new on each mini. This will allow you to keep churning out minis, which will give you practice. Most people will get frustrated when they try and get the next mini perfect.

Good job on a first mini. It looks like you'll have a nice clean style. Keep it up!
