Forge World Bloodthirster of Khorne
A lot of time went into this, it was a real challenge and a lot of fun. The skin was painted using successive layering with a tiny brush, reds were applied and then lightened and reapplied so many times I lost count. I was working on a section at a time, as the model is huge. I decided to add some freehand details, his armour has some areas where there are warp tortured faces and daemonic apperitions. The shoulder guard has a depection of a galaxy being consumed by the face in the shoulder guard. the mouth has blood connecting the teeth, this was achieved by holding a brush loaded with Tamiya clear red ink in the airflow of a fan until it goes all viscous, then apply the ink to the teeth and pull it out like chewing gum. This can be seen on the axe of khorne as well. Thanks to Hector for taking the time to photograph him for me! All the best Jon
