I like it. Touch up the blending a bit and it's good. That said, if you're doing NMM, it's all about contrast. Doesn't matter what your intermediary colors are, but your brighest highlight should be almost white, and the darkest color should approach black (or an appropriate color if you're not doing grey, like dark brown for gold).
