River Nymph from Elmore's Silver and Steel

Honest! I almost painted her a blonde. The teal hair was just a last minute whim. At first I thought it looked too odd till I put the stream in. I made the streambed teal mainly because many mountain streams and lakes are laden with glacial silt, so they appear blue, green or even red in various lights. The skull of some unfortunate who fell to her seductions lies rotting at her feet in the rushing water. This was my first experiment with Woodland Scenics "Water Effects". Also was my first ever "raiding of the spice rack" for leaf debris. I like to think she turned out okay though. Any advice or comments welcome!

"Not a fan of the earlier Ral Partha sculpts, but this one is one of the better ones "?! This is a Dennis Mize sculpt and once you've seen one of his gals, you've just about seen them all. Dennis is a hell of a scupltor, but this is by no means his one of his best, nor in anyway unique. (Check out the Slave Auction for some of Dennis' most lecherous work.) Older mini's get a bad name because most of us were such crappy painters and the details are buried under globs of paint. Well ... I don't want to ramble too much, but JohnC doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to RP or this sculpt. As for the paint job, pretty good work. Nicely shaded, but I'd like to see the entire chick in blue with perhaps green hair.

I', not a fan of the earlier Ral Partha sculpts, but this one is one of the better ones - and you've turned it into a fantastic mini! I love the base, and the skin tones are incredible!

Very nice. A true touch of fantasy with the hair color. She really looks like a river nymph or one of the fairy folk! Congrats.
