Ferus Manus
This is my entry to Golden Demon this year. It is based upon my interpretation of what Ferrus Manus may have looked like had he not perished fighting the emperor. As the blood angels have an affinity for machines i thought that he would have wanted to be integrated with a machine body. He is armed with two pistols and several chain weapons, along with numerous bionics. The model itself is quite complex, being based around a body of material chosen for its properties which allow easy sculpting. It took me quite a long time to source the various components, and then come up with a way to make them come together to create a coherent finisihed product. In terms of time spent i have been working at this for around 6 months or so, but on and off, so it would amount to around 200 hours of labour. The painting style is quite controversal, although has been employed by the likes of victor hardy and matt parkes, who i both consulted during the long process of creating my finest work. The most detail has been lavished on the legs with alot of free hand, although the blending on the face is also something i am very proud of. Any suggestions welcome, i hope you like it. I also do comissions if anyone is interested.
