Entry GD Germany 2007: Elemental Forces
Hi folks, this one was one of my two entries in the Golden Demon contest at GamesDay Germany 2007. Unfortunately it didn't even make first cut. :( All the time since I painted my first demonette in that all fiery scheme for the ChickChallenge V in 2005 I had this idea of painting a demonette for each one of the 4 elements fire, water, earth and air. After painting those I searched for an idea for a nice diorama and came up with the idea you can see above. As the 4 elements built the base of the world I tried to represent this by painting a half-sphere to look like a planet seen from outer space. Around it I painted a magic circle with each of the 4 demonettes standing in each quarter following some of the ideas used in alchemy (which means that fire is opposite to water and air to earth...).
