My first attempt at shading and highlighting. I bought this guy just for the folds in his cloak, robe, and wrinkley head. Comments and suggestions always welcome.

A lot of the colors seem to be simply two toned. You've got the purple/lavender colors on the head, the darkblue/blue colrs on the cloak, etc. I think you need some more colors inbetween, so there is a bit more of a transition from dark to light.
