9.5. I agree with Destructive Prince! Rene has his own style, so don't compare this model to the other ones... there are better? Really? This one is different and original, pattern is very nice, colour scheme also. And the gems? DIFFERENT and nice. Best regards :) Slawol
9.5...Geez! Some of you guys are really tough on minis on here. So much sniping! This is a great looking piece of work. i really like the freehand and the green tones. I would agree the lighting on the gems is 'different' to normal but that's not a bad thing!
Well it IS a big model and takes a LOT of time to finish, but that's part of the challenge. The colour scheme works nicely, but most of the transitions aren't really that smooth (the red gem on the right wing is almost as big as an entire mini and I can still see the transitions from where the photo was taken). So, in the end, while the design is really cool, the techniques might still be improved. The way it is the best I can give is a 7,49.
