I tried to go for the dripping blood effect. I don't generally like gory models, but it is a big axe. The thing sticking out from behind his left calf is a severed skaven head. My camera didn't pick up the detail of it.
I think the blood on his axe looks great. It's his chalky skin that's bothering me. I like how gritty he looks, but with suck a pale color over a black primer like that, it makes it look a bit too harsh. His fangs could get a wash of light yellow to make them look dirty as well.
