Otto Sturm baron von Krieghoffen

First figure - Junior Officer of The Armageddon 1st Platoon for my upcoming Imperial Guard W40K army, called Blue Steel Legion. Older mini from GW Steel Legion miniature range was very nice to paint. For this colour scheme I was inspired by World War I. uniforms (mostly french). The glossiness will be probably reduced by aplying matt varnish. CORAM DEO: Thanx for critics and ideas. Yes, you're right. The mini needs some final touches, which I will do while finishing whole command group. I started to paint the whole group as a batch-paint, I just finished the Lieutenant in the final phase first. But I stil say this is not display-window-mini, it's just 'one of the many' (and it's just a copy *shame*) so I'm trying to get compromise between *kind of* quality and quantity.

Pharaun.
As you said, a bit of dullcote would really help. You may find the highpoints on the creases will need a further highlight afterwards. IMHO the line work on the front of the cloak and particularly around the bottom doesn't seem to suit the rest of the mini, i would prefer it either not to be there or to contrast less, perhaps a grey tone. I also think the blade needs to come up a few highlights too, it is the same tone on the back of the blade as the cutting side... and perhaps you could bring up the highlights just a little more on the mask and the knuckles of the gloves. Just my 2 cents, otherwise it's a good solid paintjob :)
