Nurgle Champion - GDUK 2007 Finalist
This was probably my main GD entry, I was finally convinced to try my hand at conversion which came out ok I think. I should mention the top of the base detaches, you can make out the seam on the 2nd and 3rd images, though the base did give me trouble and I had to completely re-sculpt it to get close to the look I wanted. (And I found a home for the Nurgling that came with Typhus) Other than that I was trying to take what I had learned doing Typhus and take it a bit further, so the shading was bit better adding some extra depth, and the weathering was much broader, with only a few small chips which I think keeps the piece more cohesive, and certainly having the head in different colours and tones helped greatly with the focal point. Also I’d like to thank Seb (Automaton), Kyle (KyleM) and Chris (Generulpoleaxe) for their advice, this figure definitely wouldn’t have been so good without you.
