This is my first batch of piccies, having just acquired a digital camera. Any pointers to improve both my photography and painting technique would be very welcome! In particular, I found the lips on this guy very hard to paint: I used orange in the end which looks more like he's wearing lipstick than this photo would suggest. Any tips on lips?

Well, for male or non lipstick-wearing minis, you can just paint the lower lip roughly the same shade you use for the eye sockets. That's usually enough to give the mouth some definition, without the "I just ate a handful of berries" look.
