I like the rust\dirt and the beat up armor, like he's been out in the field on campaign for a long time. I also like the shading on the loin cloth - very smooth. This makes me want to start on a "battle-worn" squad myself!
That arm is a cool idea...wish I'd thought of it... ;)
OK, seriously, it looks really good...I was going to give it a 7 because I personally don't like painted battle damage, but that's a style preference, and yours looks great.
rusted armour on an ultramarine veteran?!either the techmarines have become a lil lazy or this guy has been out in the rain too long!! would ceramite and plasteel rust anyway?i dunno,i do know this looks great!the front of the helmet looks a lil over highlighted and the paint on the chain sword arm (the teeth and blade end) looks a lil too clean towards the front,a very strong 8 from me though!
