The dapple attempt is really good actually. Where it falls short is that the pattern is a bit too consistent. If there were more variations in size and colour it would look more realistic
The gray horses just have too many spots. I have never seen a real horse colored like this. They look kind of like dalmations. The highlighting on the black armor is also a little harsh.
