Red Talon

This is a custom model for a character in a long running session of D&D. He is a lizard man wearing bone armor and using a unique double weapon in a one handed style. As with all my models, the base is black before flocking and the edges are left black. This is because no matter what you do, without a display stand, it will always be a model on a base. The base also, in my opinion, not draw away from the actual model that stands on it.

Actually, on his left foot claw is the reason he is called "Red Talon" The veins in his claw are painted red, more so near the base and fading into the bone color about halfway to the end of the claw. Remembering my dog from growing up, the veins in her nails couldn't be seen (because if you cut the nail too short you risk cutting a vein and making the animal bleed, not like human nails) . I asked why and was told that is because they are black like the dog's nails. However in some cases the vein is white and you can see them.
