Read the fluff, the space marines want you to see them coming.
And given how close range they tend to fight, I dont think you seeing them is a problem, cause generally they can see you, and they have bigger guns.
However, nice work, do like the colour of the red youve done.
i was considering doing some blood angels and i sorta agree with you. i would prefer darker and duller colors as well.
as for your mini, i haf no doubt that it is a superb piece of art, however, there are two problems. firstly it is the photo. i believe you might want a bit more lighting and a closer zoom. its quite hard to see the details. this is also tied into your highlighting. its really hard to see it although i do see some.
but nice mini overall. just that the photo dosnt do much justice.
