Ultramarine Master of the Chapter

From the moment I saw this set for the first time I wanted to paint this model in particular and finaly got around to it this week. This model marks a massive improvement in my painting(as visible by comparison to my other CMON pics). I tried out a few different methods of toning with this model than I usually use including alot of more mixing than usual. Also, since my personal army in the pipe is Tau who have very little room for freehand design, I enjoy getting the chance to work on eldar and marine models as they offer a great opportunity to feed this craving. Hope you enjoy, any comments critique, feedback welcome.

OH NO not the green, the green had the most effort put into it... went through 8 different tones from black/darkangels to scorpion. I'll try and get new shots up after the auction thanks so far for the feedback.

I like your white, especially on the right shoulder pad it looks graet, but the colours looks a little bit too flat, especially its seen on the green surfaces.

Nice work and yes, i have the feeling the photo is letting the piece down a little, the colours look a little washed out. Oh well, it's just another skill to improve for online mini presentation right? Otherwise, judging by the skill exhibited by the laurels, feathers and freehand work I think this deserves a Great Job of 8. I would like to see more deoth of colour in the armour, again, might just be the photo. Keep up the good work!
