Glad you like the paintjob Machinepriest. Actually the horns and claws are the parts of the model I'm least pleased with. I'd like to make the transition between the colours more "seamless" like on the skin and robe. Well it's the second time I paint horns and for the I'm quite plesaed with the result (I'll try to improve though).
You're correct about the base but I want to tie him in with the rest of my Daemonhunters. In real life the base looks better and the contrast isn't so pronounced - the lighting of the photo exagerates it a bit.
Wartmcbeighn: As Machinepriest has pointed out there are many fluff interpretations that could justify the mini being a familiar for an inquisitor. In addition to these it could also be an Adeptus Mechanicus cybernetic or robotic construct in the shape of a deamon. This way by using it the Inquisitor could be "taunting" his openents. Anyway I can't stop you from rating this mini at 5 and even at 1 if you like but remember that the purpose of the site is to rate minis based on how well (or cool) they are painted and not on fluff (which can be very obscure at times)...
So that's why you gave this a 5?
Ever heard of radical Inquisitors? Daemonhosts? I don't understand what you get out of being such an ass all the time.
As for this model, I like the paintjob. Good blending on the horns and claws. It is a tiny model so you did good. I'm not sure I like the base though. The green grass "pops" more than the model itself.
